Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to us. At Lumezen we have a few fundamental principles:

  • We don't ask you for personal information unless we truly need it.
  • We don't share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
  • We don't store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of our service.

Below is our privacy policy which incorporates these goals. It is based upon the Automattic.com privacy policy, which the kind folks there have decided to make available under a Creative Commons Sharealike license.

Lumezen.com ("Lumezen") operates the website lumezen.com. It is Lumezen's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our website.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, Lumezen collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Lumezen's purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Lumezen's visitors use its website. From time to time, Lumezen may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

Lumezen may contract with third-party service providers to assist in better understanding its site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on Lumezen's behalf except to help it conduct and improve its business. Lumezen uses Google Analytics to collect aggregate information about how its visitors interact with its website, so the site can be improved. Google Analytics does not record any personally identifiable information (such as names, social security numbers, email addresses, or any similar data). You can read the privacy policy for Google Analytics on their website, and can download their opt-out browser add-on from their website to opt-out from Google Analytics data collection.

Lumezen also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users saving data on its website. Lumezen only discloses these IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.

Lumezen uses Stripe for payments, analytics, and other business services. Stripe collects identifying information about the devices that connect to its services. Stripe uses this information to operate and improve the services it provides to us, including for fraud detection. You can learn more about Stripe and read their privacy policy on their website.

For example, we ask visitors who sign up for an account at Lumezen.com to provide a username and email address. In each case, Lumezen collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor's interaction with Lumezen. Lumezen does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
